Anteprima Vernaccia (or rather, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Experience) at the Rocca di Montestaffoli is underway and important and flattering recognition for the new vintages of Vernaccia Panizzi are coming our way.

The latest born in the Panizzi, Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2020, receives an excellent evaluation from Milko Chilleri of Rosso Rubino: "Straw yellow with greenish reflections, rich on the nose with hints of green apple, yellow peach and jasmine. Fruity palate with a lively minerality, with good persistence”.
Raffaele Vecchione (Winescritic) awards 93 points to Vernaccia Panizzi 2020: “Sweet in the main profile offers notes of yellow peaches, toasted hazelnuts, vanilla and lots of lemon blossoms. Full body, round and enveloping, it shows a three-dimensional profile that combines the solidity of the matrix with savoury and slightly bitter sensations. Really remarkable. Better from 2022".
Luciano Pignataro's notes describe our youngest Vernaccia as marked by “complex aroma with tropical fruit and smoky notes; savory on the palate, fruity and spicy".

Vigna Santa Margherita 2019 has positively impressed the experts: Paolo Massobrio (Il Golosario) finds our sample as the best tasted wine from this vintage.
Santa Margherita is among the best Vernaccia wines of vintage 2019 accordining to Identità Golose and receives excellent appreciation from Luca Grippo (“Like a pendulum it swings between notes of citrus and white flowers, placed on a beautiful mineral base. Incisive, full-bodied, brilliant in freshness; lasting finish") and Raffaele Vecchione (Winescritic: "Lemon juice, pink grapefruit peel, pomegranate and sage are the main notes that animate this solid Vernaccia. Full body, round and well enveloping on the palate, showing excellent tension and lenght. Excellently made. Drink now or get old", 92 p.).
