Vine pruning is a silent work that is done in the cold of winter. It is solitary work, very meditative, everyone working for himself, immersed in the silence of the vineyards
and in the freshness of the January air. It is subtle work, because you establish a personal and direct relationship with the vines: like going to a village and talking to each person, asking them how they are doing. Going to prune means going to take care of each vine, to prepare it to produce in the year.
This is the beginning of the 2021 harvest. We will see the result in many months: a new Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and all other Panizzi red and white wines, will be born directly from the gestures of these weeks.
On the other hand, if you are curious to taste the “fruits” of previous prunings, you can purchase them online in our shop.
