With joy, we share the scores on the new vintages of Vernaccia Panizzi awarded by the world’s leading wine competition, Decanter Wine World Awards 2022:
Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2021 received 91 points and Silver Medal and was described with ” Crisp fruit, with hints of lemon essential oil, fluid and unforced in a modern style.”
The 2020 Vernaccia Vigna Santa Margherita, awarded 90 Silver Medal points is “waxy with ripe fruit. Silky texture, with persa, a lump of orange peel and a long, creamy finish.”
The 2017 Vernaccia Riserva is one of 114 Italian wine gold medalists in the competition, receiving 95 points and is described as having a “nose full of fruit, grilled nuts, smokiness, sesame seeds, pastry and sweet herbaceous undertones.”
